At Ben Franklin our specialty is our jewelry, bead and tool
department. Our bead selection is HUGE. It includes Bali Silver,
Sterling Silver, Gold-filled findings, chain by the inch, over 700
charms, Czech glass, German vintage glass, precious gemstones and the
largest color selection of Swarovski Crystals in Northern Illinois. If
you are a jewelry hobbyist or professional jeweler you will find the
right parts and tools to repair or design the look you desire.
Within this department is our full service jewelry repair center, headed
by Richard, a GIA Graduate Gemologist. Repair work is completed on fine
and costume jewelry. All repairs are completed “in house”… nothing
is ever sent out. |

Our newest addition to our jewelry department is our computerized engraving service. Jewelry, gift items, rings, bracelets, leather, wood, crystal, glass and even wine bottles can all be personalized with engraving. We have a beautiful selection of engravable gifts just waiting for you! Gifts for the bridal party, the new baby and corporate awards are our specialty. Create a bead ring using wire. This is a basic starter wire course. Other
basic wiring of beads for security and design will be demonstrated. Class
is limited to 4 students, (16 or older). Class lasts about 1 hour. Included:
